Our passionate and open-minded team of executives are eager to help you grow and find success through Statice. They will ensure that your experience at Statice will be unforgettable.
Derek is a youth leader from the USA, aspiring to become a global health physician and recognized internationally for his community service projects. Outside of Statice, he is an organizing committee member at the International Youth Conference, a delegate to the AFS Youth Assembly, and a UN Civil Society Representative.
Michael Ren is currently a junior at Syosset High School and one of the founding members of Statice. Being involved with computers since young, he decided to take on the task of creating a website for Statice from scratch. Michael enjoys playing soccer and track. He is currently researching new ways to apply machine learning in bioinformatics to reduce healthcare disparities.
Edward is currently a student at Friends Academy in New York. He hopes to pursue a career in business/entrepreneurship, and is currently involved in multiple business programs. Besides his academic interests, he loves chess and lacrosse.
Joelle is currently a student of Syosset High School, Long Island, New York. She swims both for the Syosset Varsity swim team and Long Island Express. Outside of school and swimming, Joelle loves to read the classics. She hopes to become a pediatric oncologist one day to play her part in eradicating childhood cancer.
These capable students were chosen for their ability to lead each aspect of Statice at the international level. With our handpicked team of dedicated and hardworking officers, the only direction that Statice will move is forwards. Our officers will help you fit in and make sure you find your place in Statice.
Chiara Solano is currently a student at Syosset High School. She has been a skier for more than 10 years and enjoys skiing in the East Coast. During the summer, Chiara often travels around Europe with her family. She's also on the Syosset varsity swim team. Chiara has interests in business and hopes to become an anesthesiologist in the future.
Matthew Liu attends Syosset High School as a sophomore and serves as one of the codirectors of graphic design at Statice. After finding out about Statice, he found that his skills paired perfectly with his current position. Some of his hobbies include cooking, listening to music, and art, as mentioned before.
Ishan is currently a sophomore attending Syosset High School. At school, he's a member of the Science Olympiad team, physics club, and badminton team. Outside of that Ishan enjoys listening to music and collecting vinyl records. Ishan hopes to pursue science research on disease prevention in the future!
Rachel is currently a sophomore at Syosset High School in New York. When not working at school, she enjoys swimming and diving for her school as well as outside school for club teams. Some of her hobbies include being an avid Yankees fan along with having a love for learning new topics and reading. She hopes to continue forward with a career in psychiatry.
These days, Jaysukh is studying as a student at Syosset high school. Some of his interests include playing the oboe, fencing, and participating in competitive after-school clubs. He is currently conducting research on regenerative gene expression displayed by planarians.
Emily Tang is currently a sophomore at Syosset High School in New York. She has a passion for art, and enjoys drawing, painting, and sketching. Other than art, her hobbies also include playing piano and saxophone.
Kali is currently a student at Syosset High School. She hopes to pursue a career in the medical field. In addition to her interest in medicine, she enjoys painting, drawing, and playing the violin and piano. Kali helps oversee and run research operations in Statice.
Mehmet is currently a sophomore at Syosset High School in New York. He enjoys riding his bike, playing chess, being a Manchester City fan, and hanging out with his friends. Some of his school clubs include Science Olympiad and Robotics (FRC). He hopes either to pursue a career in medicine or computer science.
Nico is currently a sophomore at Syosset High School and serves as a co-host of Statice's podcast. He enjoys listening to music, going out with friends, and most importantly, spending time with his family. In the future, he wishes to pursue a career in the medical field and provide more accessible mental health care for the underprivileged population.
Krishna is currently a sophomore at Syosset High School and serves as a co-host of Statice's podcast. He enjoys taking part in basketball and football, playing video games, and socializing with friends. Academically, he aspires to be a neurologist and hopes to help underprivileged citizens in India with their medical needs in the near future.
Andre is also a student at Syosset High School. In addition to his interests in community service, he enjoys reading, playing the violin, and playing badminton. He looks forward to working with other organizations and charities to raise awareness for disorders, diseases, and many more.
