Fundraising for a Life-Saving Pediatric Heart Surgery

In May 2024, Syosset Global Health Club—a branch of Statice Health International—presented the Gift of Life International with a $5,000 check to save a young child's life. As a part of a global campaign with other branches via the Statice Youth Day of Heart Health, we are immensely proud of all of our branches for engaging in impactful initiatives like this. Statice Health International is a student-led, 501(c)(3) non-governmental organization whose mission is to spearhead the advancement of global health equity through worldwide youth mobilization. Its network of over 2,700+ volunteers and 100+ branches spans 85 countries and 6 different continents.

Global health equity is a world in which everyone has a fair and just opportunity to achieve the highest level of health, no matter their social, economic, demographical, or geographical circumstance. It is paramount to break down barriers to global health equity to improve future health outcomes worldwide.
