Event #1: Statice Health LUMHS conducted a health awareness campaign at Moriro Markaz, a school for students with special needs, on May 29th. The event began with an interactive session on personal hygiene and healthy daily habits, featuring visual aids and simple demonstrations like proper toothbrushing and handwashing techniques. Every student was encouraged to participate and feel included. A highlight of the day was Dr. Shayam’s generous contribution, as he conducted dental check-ups for the students. To wrap up the campaign, the team distributed hygiene kits and food items, each kit containing essentials like toothbrushes, toothpaste, and soap, for small tools for big improvements in daily health.

Event #1: Our branch at STMU held its first in-person health awareness campaign on Mental Health Awareness on July 17. The campaign aimed to encourage open conversations about mental health, reduce stigma, and provide students with a supportive space to reflect on their emotions. The event featured psychologists Dr. Warda Ishfaq and Dr. Hina Suleiman, who led discussions on stress management, anxiety, and help-seeking behaviors. Activities included one-on-one counseling sessions, an anonymous sharing booth, art expression walls, and a jamming session, all designed to promote emotional well-being and peer connection. The event received overwhelming participation from students across multiple departments, marking an important milestone in normalizing mental health conversations on campus.

Event #1: The branch came together in a classroom to create a series of student resource guides for Instagram, focusing on topics relevant to student well-being. Statice @ Rahbar Medical and Dental College - Lahore, Pakistan
Event #1: On May 30th, our branch at Rahbar Medical and Dental College collaborated with IFMSA-RMDC to raise awareness of No Tobacco Day. The branch invited Dr. Hira from PRTH and club secretary Anoushay Nageen to give presentations on the health impacts of tobacco. Afterwards, educational brochures were handed out and volunteers were able to personally speak with patients and their families.

Event #2: Partnering with Next Generation Pakistan, the branch hosted a free medical camp to provide free specialty consultations and dental care, distribute free prescribed medicine, and administer typhoid vaccines for over 200 patients.

Future goals: In response to the devastating floods in Pakistan, the branch will be focusing on flood relief efforts. Working with Al Khidmat, an internationally recognized humanitarian organization, it will be setting up medical camps in affected areas to provide free consultations, medicine, and health education. To achieve this, the branch will be fundraising to procure essential medicines and other supplies.

Event #1: In collaboration with the Student Empowerment Society of Rashid Latif Medical College, our branch in Lahore, Pakistan organized a women’s health awareness campaign on September 4th. Women on the hospital’s housekeeping staff learned about breast cancer, menstrual hygiene, and reproductive health. From a live demonstration, participants were also educated on how to do a breast self-examination.

Event #2: In response to the severe floods in Pakistan, the branch launched a donation call and social media campaign to mobilize support in August. The team was successfully able to raise funds that were then directed to local NGOs providing flood relief and rehabilitation work.
